The Tartan Fox

Hello and welcome to THE TARTAN FOX! My name is Jemima Roberts and I am the founder, designer and maker of THE TARTAN FOX. I live in the remote Shropshire countryside in a little cottage that my boyfriend and I have recently renovated.

I graduated from University College Falmouth in Cornwall, with a degree in Textile Design BA (Hons) in 2007. I have continued my love for textiles, at my current full-time job as Wardrobe Assistant at Blists Hill Victorian Town, near Ironbridge in Shropshire. When I’m not  making Victorian costume at my full-time job, you will find me amidst an abundance of tartans and tweeds in my sewing room with our Jack Russell terrier curled up at my feet.

THE TARTAN FOX began life in August 2011 when I decided that there was a lack of contemporary countryside soft furnishings and accessories. The first item that I made was a red and blue tartan apron with a fox stitched onto the pocket…hence, how I got the name, THE TARTAN FOX.

THE TARTAN FOX can be spotted at many local events and craft fairs and I am starting to supply various shops. Please feel free to contact me directly,  as I will happily do commissioned work, as I enjoy making my pieces as personal and unique as possible.

Thank you for taking the time to view THE TARTAN FOX and I hope that you love my tartan treats as much as I love making them!

Jemima x
